Quick Movie Critiques (because reviews mean I don't give my opinion)

Halloween 2 (2009): Tyler Mane was an excellent raging killer. He was the best thing about this movie. With that sad, the movie itself was a disappointment. The sister's whiney delivery made her annoying and unlikeable, along with the rest of the cast whom you either did not care for or wanted to see Michael butcher them as they had no redeaming qualities. Dr. Loomis' character was retooling was disasterous, and I loathed him.

Rob Zombie's visuals were creepy and equally enchanting. He gets better as a director with each film (The Devil's Rejects still being his best), but someone else needs to tackle his scripts.

The Haunting of El Superbeasto: Sticking with Rob Zombie, this was his first animated feature film, and as expected it was a wicked acid trip with some good and bad hallucinations. He pokes fun at himself with cameos by some characters from his previous films with Paul Giamatti providing the voice of Dr. Satan who is nothing like the Dr. Satan from House of 1000 Corpses.

The elevator scenes were the best parts of the film.

The Hurt Locker: A good movie that didn't feel like a movie. It was shot as if they were filming a cable mini-series, but that did not stop the film from being intense, suspenseful, and a bastard of a good time; though it does lose steam towards the end, but it was nice getting inside the minds of the military bomb squad members.

Extract: Mike Judge delivers another good film, although this one is quieter than his previous two live-action efforts, and Mila Kunis' character was almost irrelevant.

Jason Bateman is knocking every role out of the park.

Reign of Fear

Meetings were cancelled today due to an incoming storm. I love the valley. Someone feels a drop from the sky and its the Gawd's Bootstomp reaking havoc upon humanity.

Peoples is funny.

Family

Me mum called today, asking what was going on in me life. Excited, I replied, "I got my latest issue of Scientific American."

"You're such a fucking geek," said my mother.

Regurgitating History

Since I have just thought of it, someone else must have thought of it during the inception of texting - however, I find it humorous that texting is a modern version of the telegraph.

Business As Usual

The insurance man noticed the smile on my face as I ignored his every word. "What are you thinking about?" the bald, blue-suited man asked. "What it would be like to shove a brick through one person's ear and pull it out the othe...r," I replied. "Which insurance plan covers that?"

House Science

You either work for NASA or are a bored junkie when you try to figuring out at what temperature sperm boils.

Homemade Stealth

Never upset a cropduster pilot. If they're any good, they can bomb you while you sleep.

Working Sick While Sicking Work

Work was nice enough while the clock ticked slowly, only in the morning though; by the afternoon activity was rampant. Have not been active these past few days - I've been ill, but today was the best I've felt since succumbing to the light disease. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll feel a bit better. I do feel well enough to return to my training regiment which naturally destroys my immune system on its own. Usually in the second hour of training I begin sneezing or my nose starts to run, occasionally I start coughing, but such is the price I pay for being the stubborn ass that I am.
